The location of the temple is approximately 100 km southwest of Semarang and 40 km northwest of Yogyakarta. This temple was founded by the followers of Mahayana Buddhism around the year 800 AD during the reign of the dynasty Wangsa Syleindra

This is Prambanan Temple
Rara Jongrang temple or temples of Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. This temple is located on the island of Java, approximately 20km east of Yogyakarta, Surakarta arat 40km, and 120km south of Semarang. This temple was built in 850 AD by one of these two, namely Rakai Pikatan, the second king of Mataram dynasty 1 or Balitung Maha Sambu, during the Sanjaya Dynasty.

Gudeg is special food of Yogyakarta and Central Java which is made from young jackfruit cooked in coconut milk. It took many hours to make this dish. Brown color is usually generated by teak leaves are cooked simultaneously. Gudeg eaten with rice and served with thick coconut milk (areh), free-range chicken, eggs, tofu and sambal goreng krecek.
